Whispers of Peace and Rest (Original)

This scene from the Nebraska Sandhills represents a moment in time when the world stood still and quite as I looked at the landscape in front of me. After the loss of two babies, I was trying to figure out what life looked like. I knew I wasn't the same, and was trying to figure out what the world was like after mine shattered. As I stood looking at the view before me, I noticed how the grass sounded as the wind blew through it. I saw how it rippled across the hills and through the valleys. It was experiencing this that reminded me of how the wind blows, the storms come, and the grass fades; and while I cannot put my trust in the things of this world, I can trust the One who never changes.

Care: The best way to care for your painting is to have it in a frame with a small spacer between the painting and the glass. With it being an oil painting, it can smudge if placed directly on the glass. Your painting will also be happiest out of direct sunlight!
