A Gentle Awakening (Original)

This painting is a window into a sacred space: the deck of my grandparents' cabin. It's a tribute to those early mornings, filled with a quiet calm that invited me to open the door to this breathtaking view. My grandparents would be sitting with their coffee, watching the day begin. I would join them on the porch swing as the sun would gently awaken the hills and trees. This painting is an invitation to quiet your mind, body, and soul and rest in the presence of your Father who longs to be with you. It's a reminder that you don't need to come to him tidy and clean or after everything is in order; it's a reminder that even in the midst of chaos, He's beckoning for you to come and be with Him.

This original painting was created on high-quality pastel paper and oil pastels.

Care: The best way to care for your painting is to have it in a frame with a small spacer between the painting and the glass. With it being an oil painting, it can smudge if placed directly on the glass as oil paintings never fully dry. Your painting will also be happiest out of direct sunlight!
